Mailbox Guidelines & Approved Designs

Why Mailboxes Matter: Enhancing Neighborhood Beauty & Aesthetic

Mailboxes may seem like small details, but they play a surprisingly big role in the overall appearance and character of a neighborhood. As one of the most visible elements at the curb, a mailbox is often the first thing people see when approaching a home—residents, guests, and potential buyers alike.

Do you already own the approved design and just need a refresh? See this outstanding DIY from a member:
1. Sand with a high grit sandpaper to remove rust and to scuff finish to allow the fresh paint to adhere
2. Wipe with a tack cloth or rinse with clean water and allow to dry
3. Spray paint a light satin finish to get several coats. We do not recommend flat, matte, or gloss finishes
